Call to Prayer
James 5:13-16, ESV
Is anyone among you suffering?
Let him pray.
Is anyone cheerful?
Let him sing praise.
Is anyone among you sick?
Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.
And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.
The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Lord, we pray for those who are gathered here and the needs which have been made known, such as…
Lord, we pray for our pastors, that they would receive wisdom from you which would guide their guidance of us and all in their churches, namely…
Lord, we pray for our country, that you would heal divisions, such as…
Lord, we pray for the world, that the Church would be the city on a hill, giving off your light. We ask that you would show your care to…
And as you have taught us, we are bold to say,
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses and we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise him, all creatures here below
Praise him above, ye heavenly hosts
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost
Amen, Amen, Amen
